Are you still muddling around wondering what you can do with the kids? Havent got enough room around your home to start hiding eggs and conducting your own Easter Egg Hunts? Check out our little guide and reminder to what you could be enjoying as part of the traditional festivities for Easter.
Hill Street -Middlesbrough
Middlesbrough’s Hillstreet shopping centre is welcoming some furry friends on Saturday March 25, 11am -2pm.
An Easter Extravaganza will see guinea pigs, rabbits and chicks make an appearance for shoppers to hold and stroke. There will also be a face painter and balloon artist – and Hillstreet’s Easter barrow where you can enter a competition to win a giant chocolate egg. Transport into the town with plenty buses running from various locations and theres also additional car parking for the car owners amongst you.
The one and only Cadbury Easter egg hunt is heading to Ormeby Hall with the confectionery company organising alll over Easter weekend with hunts which will take place on Sunday, March 27, and Monday, March 28, from 10am until 4pm on both days.
“Wicked Sir James Pennyman won’t stop spending the family fortune, so his wife has hidden his coins somewhere outside,” reads the event description.
“Become an eggsplorer and help Sir James find his missing coins to claim your chocolate reward.”
It will cost £2 to take part. Admission fees to Ormesby Hall also apply.
Staff and volunteers at the Teesside RSPB nature reserve are gearing up for one of their busiest and most exciting times of the year.
There’s plenty of egg-themed activities, including Easter egg hunts, egg decorating and egg and spoon races and during the school holidays there’ll be a hungry caterpillar trail (March 29 – April 3) and an ugly duckling trail (April 4 to 8) to enjoy.
It’s also the time of year when the reserve restarts family pond dipping, and visitors can take part in trails, crafts and hire explorer packs to get the whole family together and out enjoying nature.
Saltholme is situated near the mouth of the River Tees between Billingham and Seaton Carew next to the A178.
Stewart Park, Middlesbrough
There will be a Family Wood 21st birthday celebration on Easter Sunday.
The free event takes place between 10am and 2pm and there’ll be an Easter bonnet competition, Easter egg hunt, arts and a quiz too.
Middlesbrough Town Hall
Ever popular tots dance session Groovy Babies is all set to bust some moves at Middlesbrough Town Hall on Saturday, March 26, 2pm-4pm.
This month’s theme is 80’s Neon Party – join the tots on the dancefloor and boogie along to a mixtape of 80’s classics. The team will be sporting neon colours, big hair, tutus and sweat bands. Tickets £3.
Cat And Kitten Rescue Fundraiser-Coulby Newham
2016 Annual Cat & Kitten Rescue Easter Fundraiser is at the Parkway Social Club on the 26/03/2016 and starts at 2-6pm
and entry is 50p per person. There will be lots of party games, Tombola, kids disco, raffles, sweety stall, egg hunt, egg painting & lots more.
All profits/proceeds go to the Cat & Kitten Rescue charity.
