Always an enthralling event, open air theatre returns to Stewart Park from 4pm and is giving you, the audience the opportunity to take a step back in time.
When Elizabeth meets the rude and abrupt Mr Darcy, she loathes him at first sight. But is there more to him than meets the eye? Join family and friends for what promises to be the most splendid afternoon of the summer as you picnic under a beautiful summer sky and lose yourself in this unforgettable love story. After all, it is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife!

Middlesbrough Theatre delight again with another thrilling programme of summer drama in the unique setting of Stewart Park’s outdoor events space, adjacent to the historic stable block near the children’s play area.
This year’s programme features three special adaptations of classic stories – The Three Musketeers, Pride and Prejudice and, following last season’s great success, another Sherlock Holmes adventure.
The performance area is paved throughout – so no damp grass! Bring your own rug or low-backed seating and dress warmly. Refreshments are available and you are welcome to bring your own picnic and generally enjoy the atmosphere, the scenery and become engaged in a story set back in times gone by.
Free car parking is available at the main entrance on Ladgate Lane and the gates open ¾ hour before performance times. Cash only on the gate.
Performances will only be cancelled in the event of a hurricane!
