Pacific Predators-Enjoy The Wonders Of The Sea!
Discover the wonders of the deep Pacific Ocean in this look at three of the great ‘monster’ predators: tiger shark; sperm whale and giant squid.
Captain Cook’s crew had rare glimpses of some of these magnificent beasts and saw how they were often integral to the culture of people of the Pacific region, featuring in many things, from their beliefs and oral traditions, their artwork to the use of body parts for tools and weapons.
Many of these creatures are threatened by climate change and the exhibition will look at ways in which they need to be protected.
