Fireworks and Fun-Where to go this bonfire weekend.



Here is a list of great events to attend this coming bonfire night  weekend which has turned up rather quickly this year! Take a look at the below guide and choose your destination! The best way to stay safe on bonfire night is to go to a properly organised fireworks display rather than holding your own party at home.

1.Redcar Rugby Union Football Club: Friday, November 4

This year’s event has a superhero theme. There will be music, food and drink, and fairground rides.

Tickets, available from the club, are £3 for adults, £7 for a family ticket (two adults and two children), and £1.50 for concessions. Check the Facebook event page.

Gates for the event at Mackinlay Park, Green Lane, Redcar, will open at 6.30pm.

All children must be accompanied by an adult and there will be no on site parking.


2. Acklam Rugby Club, Saturday, November 5

The Acklam Rugby Club (Saltersgill Avenue) Bonfire and Firework Night is an annual event with refreshments available.

Tickets are £5 for  adult, £3 for a child and £10 for a family ticket – which are available on the gate on the night.

3. Guisborough Cricket Club: Saturday, October 29

There will be fairground rides, free face painting and balloon modelling, food and refreshments, as well as the 7.30pm firework display at the Rectory Lane club.

Entry is £4 for an adult, £2 for children, or £10 for a family ticket.


4. Thornaby Cricket Club: Friday, November 4

The fireworks display will start at 7.15pm.

Entry is £3 for adults, and £1 for under 16s (who must be accompanied by an adult). A family ticket (two adults two children) costs £6.

Tickets are now on sale at the club.


5.Marton Cricket Club, Stokesley Road, Marton: Friday, November 4

The fireworks display here starts at 7.30pm and is always fabulous.

Tickets, available at the gate, are £5 for adults, £3 for under 16s, and £10 for a family ticket (two adults, two children). There is no parking on site so please be aware before setting off however theres tonnes of public transport as well as the option for good old walking.


6. Air Trail By Night-Tees Barrage-Saturday November 5

Visitors will be able to conquer the attraction’s 38 challenges including wobbly rope bridges, tight ropes and zip wires high above the Tees equipped with a head torch and glowing neon wristbands on bonfire night.

Sessions take place at 5pm and 6.30pm and there’ll be free sparklers and free parking too. Book here for tickets.
