Here at Middlesbrough Events we love this event, they bring some fabulous talent and it’s just an ace comedy night out, again they bring us another fabulous line up and promise you will be wetting your self with laughter.
If you have a rubbish sense of humour or get easily offended then please don’t go as you’ll be the target of the comedians!
Your MC will be the affable, quick-witted banter merchant, Dave Twentyman who managed to survive his childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow. (Could that be magic?)
A regular performer at many of the best weekend clubs in the UK, Dave has also performed at a number of music festivals over the years such as Leeds, V Festival and Download.
Phil Nichol is a truly original performer. An acclaimed actor, award winning comedian, producer, presenter, writer and musician – there is no end to his talent!
Phil is an energetic and lively performer with an unquenchable thirst to break boundaries and is innovative.
His skill as an improviser whether it be musical, comedy or straight cannot be matched.
With a surreal edge to some of his mischievous rantings, Nichol always brings something different to the stage whilst his keen sense of fun and eye for the shocking and absurd has cemented his position as one of the best comedians on the circuit at that time.
“A genius of a show” The Herald
Despite looking like a slightly dishevelled and demented geography lecturer, Seymour Mace is an articulate comedian.
He crackles with childish giddy energy, getting caught in flights of fancy and going off on strange tangents, but never loses sight of the end result. A performer worth the admission price alone. (Cheap 😂😂)
He was a regular in BBC2’s Johnny Vegas sitcom ‘Ideal’, a former City Life Comedian of the Year and Breakthrough Act at the North West Comedy Awards. Like a truly bizarre hybrid of Harry Hill, Half Man Half Biscuit and Viz comic, Seymour is a teller of extremely tall tales and High Priest of the terrifically twisted one-liner.
He was also victorious in the Cup A Soup Comedy Challenge. You may mock such a curiously named title but the prize money was 10 grand. Big money for us guys in Middlesbrough.
‘Leaves his crowd uplifted, entertained and laden with charity shop-bought gifts…Warm, original and weird’ (Edinburgh Festival Guide)
Simon Lomas is a Chortle Awards Best Newcomer nominee and Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year finalist. In July 2018 he won the biggest cash prize in UK comedy history at the Petfringe Comedian of the Year final, whatever that is!
